"French
Polynesia" is a group of islands located in the South Pacific
between Australia and Hawaii.
The
largest such island is Tahiti, which is surrounded by many smaller
mountainous islands such as Bora Bora. Further to the East are many
islands called “atolls”. A donut shape and large protected
lagoon within characterizes them. Rangiroa is such an island. We
picked Bora Bora & Rangiroa as dive destinations because of the
facilities available and their reputation for diving adventure.
TopDive Diving Center was located on both target islands and was
willing to give us a sizeable discount for the total dive package of
80 dives. This proved to be a great choice and I can’t say enough
good things about the way they took care of us at both exotic
locations. Needless to say, “French Polynesia” is controlled by
the French and you must be either French or native Polynesian to
work or run a business anywhere in the island group. Otherwise, many
Tucson business people would be looking for a new computer guy right
about now.
